A3M Global Monitoring is a crisis information system that identifies and analyses critical events worldwide and displays them in a web-based geo-information system. The following event categories are displayed:

This internet-based system gives companies, tour operators, travel agencies and business travel organisers an overview of current risks and details of how many of their customers or employees are potentially affected.
Information is delivered in more than 40 categories including political crises, hurricanes, strikes, flooding, earthquakes, terrorism, volcanic ash, epidemics and tsunamis. All events are rated on a 5-point scale. All information is geo-referenced and displayed on various maps, event tickers and RSS feeds. There is also an archive documenting past events. In the event of a crisis, our team of editors provide users with up-to-date reports, links, maps, images, videos, and additional information, all via the web-interface. Supplementary information such as travel warnings and advisories, country data, emergency plans, and details of airports, hotels, hospitals, and reception centres is also supplied.
Individual events have different degrees of relevance for different customers. In a crisis, it is very important to quickly determine how many, and which employees and customers are located in potential risk areas, in order to be able to react immediately. For this reason, events are assessed against geo-referenced, customer-specific data as they occur. If, for example, an employee or a hotel is in an area which has been identified as being at risk, this event is singled-out and given an individual relevance ranking, on the basis of which automatic alarms can be activated and other actions triggered.
The warning system automatically alerts managers and employees of potential risks, and provides information on events that are relevant to employees or companies. It is especially important that notifications of events and potential crises can be received outside of business hours. The integrated communication system is used for sending messages and reports to guests, customers, and employees directly via SMS and Email.
