Update 2018-05-24 (1): On Thursday (24 May), the restricted area surrounding the aerial bomb will remain in effect for the time being, as the defusing of the bomb continues. Nobody was injured in a partial explosion of the bomb on Wednesday evening (23 May, local time). Further explosions cannot be ruled out. Ongoing traffic disruptions are to be expected at the restricted area.

Update 2018-05-23 (2): The defusing of the World War II bomb failed on the first attempt. According to the police, the work had to be stopped after the mechanical detonator had been uncovered. According to the experts, the risk of explosion is higher than expected. The residents of the security area were asked to stay outside the barrier.
