Update 2016-11-22: According to media reports on Tuesday morning (22 November) the cabin staff of the airline Eurowings started a wohle-day strike. According to this, the employees are to leave work from 05:00 a.m. (local time) to 08:00 p.m. (local time). 50 of the total 88 scheduled flights were therefore canceled at the Düsseldorf Airport.
Major air traffic disruptions are to be expected. Before and after official strike hours, disruptions are also possible due to organisational reasons. Passengers are advised to contact their airline or tour operator about the current flight status in advance to their journey to the airport and should schedule additional time for their journey. Travellers flying with Lufthansa in the coming weeks should continue to closely monitor the situation.
