2017-03-07: According to media reports from Monday evening (06 March, local time) a strong storm in the west, south and in the centre of France led to massive restrictions in public life. More than 600,000 households had no power supply. In the department of Dordogne a car driver was killed, and in the French Alps a truck driver was killed by the severe weather. In the town of Brive-la-Gaillarde, in the department of Corrèze, in the south-west of the country, at least five people, and in the municipality of Carhaix-Plouguer, in Brittany, at least three people were killed.
