Update 2019-11-24: According to reports from Sunday (24 November), two people died after severe weather in southern France. The casualties occurred in the villages of Le Muy and Cabasse.
Update 2019-11-23: Railway services between Nice and Toulon were suspended due to the severe weather. Roads were also closed and disruptions affected the airport in Nice. Hundreds of people were evacuated and the population was advised to not leave their houses and to avoid travelling. One person was reported missing.
2019-11-23: According to media reports on Saturday (23 November) there have been severe weather with heavy rainfalls in the south of the country. In the department Var about 2400 households are cut off from the electricity supply. One person is missing in Saint-Antonin-du-Var west of Draguignan.
Traffic disruptions are to be expected, floods and landslides are possible. Travellers should exercise heightened caution, especially near rivers and mountainslopes, and follow instructions by authorities.
