2018-03-19: Two people were again injured by an explosive device in Austin on Sunday evening (18 March, local time). The incident occurred in Dawn Song Drive, in the south-western parts of the city. The explosive device had been placed on the side of the road and was possibly detonated by a tripwire. Residents were advised to stay indoors within a 800 metres wide radius until 10.00 a.m. local time on Monday (19 March). Authorities are also advising to avoid suspicious items.
Heightened security measures and operations of security forces are to be expected. Violent incidents are possible during arrests of suspects. Travellers are advised to exercise caution, to avoid operations of security forces, and to follow instructions from security forces.
