2019-06-12: On Tuesday (11 June) the first case of Ebola in Uganda was confirmed. One person has crossed the border from neighbouring Ebola biddings in the Democratic Republic of Congo on Sunday (09 June).
Travellers should avoid visibly infected people and observe additional hygiene measures.
Ebola: Transmitted by droplet infection, close contact with infected individuals or body fluids. Typical symptoms include headache, severe malaise, muscle pain, high fever, abdominal pain and lethargy. There is neither a tested vaccination nor cure available. The incubation period is 7 days.
