Ngurah Rai International Airport
Update 2018-06-29: On Friday afternoon (29 June, local time) Bali opened its international airport after a volcanic eruption temporarily grounded flights. The Ngurah Rai International Airport began operating around 02:30 p.m. (local time). Ongoing disruptions are to be expected.
2018-06-29: On Friday morning (29 June, local time), Indonesian authorities have closed the Ngurah Rai International Airport until 07:00 p.m. (local time) due to increased activity of the Agung Volcano in eastern Bali. According to media reports, other regional airports are also affected by the disruptions.
Further air traffic disruptions are to be expected. Passengers are advised to contact their airline or tour operator about the current flight status in advance to their journey to the airport and should schedule additional time for their journey.
