2017-03-22: From Saturday (25 March) onwards, new regulations prohibiting the transport of larger electronic devices, such as tablets or laptops, as carry-on items will be in effect for flights into the United Kingdom from six countries. The countries affected are Turkey, Tunisia, Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt and Saudi-Arabia. Passengers whose flight originates in another country and which stops in one of the countries affected will have to check-in their electronic devices at the beginning of their journey.
Heightened security measures and delays at airports are to be expected. Travellers should account for delays when scheduling their journey and contact their airline or tour operator ahead of time if travelling via one of the affected countries.
