Multiple killed in flash flood in the centre of the country - Hubei Province, China

2019-08-05: On Sunday (04 August), nine people were killed in a flash flood after heavy rains in Hubei province. The incident occurred around 06:40 p.m. (local time) in the village of Duobi Gorge in Hefeng County. Four people are missing.
Travellers are advised to inform themselves via local media and authorities about the current situation on site, to follow instructions from authorities, to exercise high caution near mountainsides and rivers, as well as to avoid damaged buildings, bridges, and roads.
