Update 2018-10-11: At least three people were killed by the earthquake north of East Java and Bali early on Thursday morning (11 October, local time). The epicentre of the earthquake is located around 55 kilometres north-east of the city of Situbondo, in the eastern parts of East Java. A tsunami warning was not issued.
The fatalities were reported from the villages of Jambusok and Prambanan, in Gayam District on Sapudi Island in Sumenep Regency. Some houses were also damaged in Jembrana Regency, in western Bali. There were no reports of casualties. The earthquake could also be felt in Denpasar and Surabaya. However, there were no initial reports of damage.
