2020-08-19: According to media reports on Wednesday (19 August), members of the so-called Islamic state attacked the village of Kukawa near the border with Chad and took hundreds of people hostage. The persons involved are internally displaced persons who had returned from a camp. Initially, there were no reports of injuries.
