Update 2020-07-25: According to reports on Saturday (25 July), storm "Hanna" was upgraded to a category 1 hurricane. On the coast between Port Mansfield and Sargent in Texas, warnings of storm surges were issued. The hurricane is forecast to hit land in the afternoon or early evening (local time).
2020-07-23: A tropical storm has developed over the Gulf of Mexico, which is forecast to hit southern coastal areas of Texas on Saturday (25 July).
Heavy rainfalls are to be expected beforehand, which may cause floods, flash floods and landslides. Due to high winds, storm damage is possible in the areas directly affected by the tropical storm. (Air-)Traffic disruptions are to be expected. Travellers are advised to exercise elevated caution near mountainsides and rivers.
