Update 2017-10-05: The tropical depression located over the Caribbean Sea will develop into a tropical storm and will make landfall at the coast of Nicaragua on Thursday (05 October).
Heavy rainfalls are to be expected beforehand, which may cause floods, flash floods and landslides. Due to high winds, storm damage is possible in the areas directly affected by the tropical storm. (Air-)Traffic disruptions are to be expected. Travellers are advised to exercise elevated caution near mountainsides and rivers.

2017-10-04: A low pressure area located over the Caribbean Sea could develop into a tropical storm within the next 48 hours (90% chance). The tropical depression could further move towards the coast of Nicaragua. Heavy rainfalls and thunderstorms are to be expected in eastern coastal areas of Nicaragua within the coming days.
