Tübingen, 02 March 2020 - Use extended until the end of the month: Even after the cancellation of the world's largest travel trade fair, crisis early warning expert A3M is still offering free use of its Global Monitoring app. With this app, users can now even receive free push messages on important updates regarding the corona virus until 31 March 2020. The company originally announced the free service a few days ago for the duration of ITB Berlin. The app is available for users of Android and iOS devices - the download is available at www.global-monitoring.com/de/global-monitoring-app. Interested parties simply select the blue version of the mobile application and register in addition to an individual email with the promotion code "coronaA3M", which can be entered in the company key field.
"With or without ITB Berlin - the corona virus is still the dominant topic in the travel industry", comments A3M Managing Director Tom Dillon. "This makes it all the more important for us to continue to provide the industry with the best possible updates and to extend free use for the entire month of March".
Other alerts with which the application informs smartphone users worldwide include natural disasters such as tropical storms as well as floods and even earthquakes. The Global Monitoring app also warns users in the event of risks such as large-scale demonstrations or strikes. The application is available in different versions and at different price models. It is free for the first four weeks. If the user then decides to extend it, the spectrum ranges from three-day use for 99 cents to one-year use for 19.99 Euros.
A3M is the leading crisis early warning expert in the German tourism industry. Declared a standard by the most important industry association DRV, customers include TUI, Dertour, FTI and Studiosus. They use the Global Monitoring System to warn customers worldwide of dangers.
Based in the university city of Tübingen and Hamburg, A3M GmbH develops and operates early warning, information and communication systems for professional and effective crisis management. Among the users of the web-based global monitoring tool are Germany's major travel providers on the one hand, and a large number of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) on the other, as well as large companies and corporations. An experienced team of experts at A3M constantly monitors the worldwide news situation and prepares it individually for the users. This means that, depending on the assignment, travel providers only receive information that is relevant for their specific customers, as they are currently or will soon be in the corresponding countries and regions. SMEs, large companies and corporations use the information to ensure maximum security for their employees when travelling.
Among the global hotspots that A3M monitors are natural disasters such as earthquakes, hurricanes or fires, political unrest, large demonstrations or other events and conditions that could pose a threat to travellers. In the past, A3M became known to end customers through the Tsunami Early Warning System via SMS, which was set up in the wake of the flood disaster in 2004. A3M has been offering the app "Global Monitoring" for iPhone and Android for quite some time.
