2017-07-19: According to media reports from Wednesday (19 July), fightings between rebel groups of the Mai Mai Mazembe and the Mai Mai Nduma Defence of Congo occurred in the Lubero Territory, in the state of North Kivu. 2017-03-06: According to media reports from Monday (06 March), there were heavy fightings between left guerilla organization ELN and the criminal organization Clan del Golf, in the municipality of Alto Baudó, in the Chocó Department. According to the authorities on Sunday (05 March), more than 100 people had to flee. Colombian forces displaced additional soldiers into the region.
2017-02-26: On Sunday (26 February), the Philippine military attacked with the airforce on the island of Jolo, in Sulu State, alleged hiding places of the terror organization Abu Sayyaf, who hold a German sailor as hostage. According to the authorities, ground forces are preparing an offensive against Abu Sayyaf on Jolo.
